Throughout the coffee value stream, Counter Culture strives to build a business that is perennial. One that is hearty, adaptable, and regenerates each season. Our relationship-driven approach to sourcing, annually expanded Transparency Report, and recent B Corp certification are a few ways we’re celebrating our continual evolution as an organization. This blend combines different roast levels of coffees from long-term partners to create a full-bodied coffee with notes of dark chocolate and raisin. For Perennial, we combine two roasts of coffee from Incahuasi—a blend of a lighter and a darker roast. This approach brings juicy raisin notes, sweet dark chocolate flavors, and a heavier mouthfeel to the cup. Founded in early 2005, the Incahuasi Valley Cooperative brings together nearly a dozen communities in an effort to promote specialty coffee production. These coffee-producing communities are scattered throughout the Incahuasi Valley in Peru's southern region of Cusco and farmers mostly grow Bourbon, Caturra, and Paché varieties. At altitudes ranging from 1,600–2,400 meters above sea level, these communities are thinly connected by limited road access through the harsh Andean landscape. Nevertheless, the communities remain irrevocably linked by their Inca heritage and focus on quality coffee production.
