In May 2024, Leonardo Henao, our Director of Coffee, acquired one of our farms, La Palma, and decided to rename it El Jardín. Inspired by the Roman philosopher Epicurus, it became a space dedicated to personal transformation and the flourishing of ideas, a concept Leo adopted to symbolize the rebirth of new projects on this farm. El Jardín is somewhat like a coffee laboratory, a space where new practices are explored in farming, production, varieties, and fermentation processes. Its purpose is to test and validate these techniques before sharing them with other producers, ensuring tangible benefits for them and enhancing coffee quality. This particular Gesha variety delivers a floral sensory profile with notes of lemongrass, green tea, and mandarin blossom.
