Zoka Coffee
Seattle, WA, USA
Giakanja Coffee Farmers Society is a 1,200 member cooperative of farmers in the Nyeri County region of Kenya. This coffee was handpicked and then cherries are hand sorted, pulped, floated in channels and soaked for 12 to 24 hours before being moved to raised beds for drying. At nearly 6,000 feet above sea level, coffee from this region of Kenya is known for fruit forward profiles with effervescence and candy sweetness. Giakanja has been a Zoka partner for a few years and the quality is always high and the coffees are consistently lovely.
