Initially, I thought I had done something wrong with my brew. The first few sips of this were… less than pleasant. Turns out I had fallen victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous, as we all know, is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never brew coffee that was roasted less than 24 hours ago! Thanks, Vizzini. Lesson learned. After those first few sips, however, this coffee really turned into something beautiful. Aromatics of sweet cocoa, dried fruit, and molasses with a syrupy cup containing notes of cinnamon, molasses, fruit leather, and dark chocolate. Yum!
