With notes of tropical fruit, orange creamsicle, and tamarind-spiced chocolate, this newly-arrived Colombian coffee is a sweet sip of paradise. In this light-medium roast, an exceptionally smooth mouthfeel, silky like chocolate milk, wraps around an array of sun-ripened tropical fruits— papaya, plum, cantaloupe melon. In the finish, a soft tamarind spice accompanies a long, lush note of orange creamsicle. When I sip this coffee, it makes me think of a big breakfast buffet, full of colorful exotic fruits, during a beachside vacation. The small lot Colombian Proyecto Recolectores is the newest arrival from True North Coffee Roasters, and we can't "recollect" the last time we enjoyed a Colombian cup this smooth, fruity, and rich.
