"Atta Girl" is named in honor of our founder's grandmother, the dynamic Kitty O'Shea. Kitty grew up in the Mission District of San Francisco, a first-generation American during the Depression, where street talk colored every interaction and “atta girl” was a favorite Kittyism. She used it unsparingly through her long life to espouse love, praise, and a reminder to embrace life's opportunities. “Atta Girl” is now in the Webster Dictionary; lesson learned that if you stick around long enough, you become noteworthy—perhaps even legendary. It is a single-origin blend of Ethiopia/Guatemala/Rwanda.
