Aliz has 2 farms - La Naranja and El Chorro, both located at an altitude of 1800m. Both farms were originally inherited from generation to generation and contained the local varieties Caturra and Typica, as well as a newly identified variety known as La Marga. Aliz plans to start growing the Geisha variety with seeds provided by the Coffee Association in the near future. Thanks to the ever-increasing prices paid for 85+ point coffees, there is a growing interest in the region to select nano lots and grow better varieties. This effort to develop great coffee is supported by the association in the belief that high quality production leads to the strengthening of the position of growers and to wider benefits for all families for whom coffee is the main or only livelihood. Peru Aliz Garcia enchanted us on the cupping table with its juiciness and complexity. Her light body perfectly complements the sweetness and juiciness of well-known citrus fruits such as tangerines, oranges and lemons. We are sure it is a great coffee to end this interesting year…
