The Medal of Honor is the most prestigious military decoration awarded to service members who have distinguished themselves through acts of valor in the face of combat. Since its creation in 1861, over 40 million have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Fewer than 4,000 have been awarded the Medal of Honor, and there are only 66 recipients living today. We are proud of our military heritage here at BRCC, and it is part of our mission to honor and support the veteran community.
