For us this coffee is a great example of what we call a classic Kenya profile. Expect high sweetness with notes of blackberry and a juicy mouthfeel. The high sweetness in this particular lot makes it very approachable for a washed African coffee. The washing stations are being supported by our partners of Sucafina and with Mette-Marie being our feet on the ground we have the possibility to select these coffees before they go through auction. We just love this type of Kenyan coffees. The fields are located on the south western slopes of Mount Kenya and extend to the eastern slopes of the Aberdares mountain range. This region is well known for its high production of high quality coffees. The elevation of 1800 meters above sea level combined with the volcanic soil make some of the top conditions to grow coffee. We prefer to drink this coffee as a filter, but this coffee is also a true flavor enhancer as an espresso! One of the widely used brewing methods is the V60, which is also the brewing method we use for this recipe. For other recipes, we would like to refer you to our brew guide.
