Coffee Of The World
Norway
The coffee is grown in the coffee town of Gaitania in Tolima in the central Andes mountains in central Colombia. The coffee has therefore been named Gaitania Colombia. Colombia is one of the world's largest coffee producers, and supplies a lot of coffee of very good quality. It is first and foremost good natural conditions that ensure that the Arabica coffee grown in the country gets a solid stamp of quality. A general characteristic of Colombian coffee is that it has mild and well-balanced flavors of cherries, stone fruits and chocolate. It has suitable fullness and a fruity acidity that is not overwhelming. However, coffee is produced in several of the country's regions, and the aroma and taste will vary depending on where it is grown. A large part of the coffee production takes place in the highlands, often on the hillsides up to the Andes. It gives a long ripening time that affects the aroma aspects of the coffee. The steady inflow of moisture from the mountain sides, stable temperatures and a volcanic soil provide good growing conditions for the coffee plants. All these criteria are met for the coffee that comes from the coffee town of Gaitania in Tolima in central Colombia. Here, a powerful and full-bodied coffee with a taste of cherries and chocolate is produced. The aroma of the coffee also has a slight hint of caramel. The coffees grown are Caturra, Typica, Tabi and Castillo, all of which are part of Coffee of the World Gaitania Colombia.
