At 30 years old, Luisa’s husband passed away unexpectedly. At the time, Luisa had 2 small children & was pregnant with one more on the way. She needed to continue operating the farm to provide for her children. It has always been a family operation. She was very close to 2 of her brothers who helped her, but one of them passed away. Feria Garcia, Luisa’s nephew, helps with the operations of the farm now. Luisa’s son, Erasmo Feria Castro, lives in Walla Walla, WA at the moment, but comes back to help at the farm. Like herself, the coffee Luisa grows is lovely! We were lucky enough to purchase this lot from her and we are so excited to share it with you all!
