About This Coffee
This special coffee comes from Israel Salazar’s Finca Loma El Marcelo in Sotara, Colombia. Finca Loma El Marcelo is a small farm of 7 hectares high in the mountains above Sotará. Israel has created a beautiful and sustainable farm here. About half of the farms area is devoted to coffee production, with the other half growing a diverse range of food crops; vegetables, beans, oranges, plantains, sugarcane and more. The farm also has bee hives and dairy cows. A huge asset is the natural water spring, providing water for Israel’s family, animals, crops and the processing of coffee. This is our fourth year working with Israel and we look forward to a bright future together. This coffee is a Castillo variety selection. It is processed in the traditional washed method and dried on raised shaded beds on the farm. This is a bright and sparkling coffee with prominent notes of stone fruit and citrus. It has great complexity and we love its immaculately clean and transparent nature. Please enjoy the fruit of Israel Salazar’s hard work.
