This unique coffee is produced by exposing the green coffee beans to the annual monsoon winds, mimicking the slow boat trip the beans once took from India to Europe. This “monsooning process” greatly alters the coffee’s characteristics, creating a very full-bodied & extremely earthy coffee with virtually no acidity (or, as we prefer to call it, “brightness”). This is one of our biggest hit-or-miss coffees. Some folks buy this coffee exclusively, and others won’t touch it with a 10-foot pole. If you’ve never had it, we recommend starting off with a smaller quantity.
