A unique nano lot with a heavy scent of lilac, red fruit and spices. When brewed, expect black cherries, caramel and cranberries in the body. La Boheme Cafe has been working with this family coffee producer since 2014 when Charles first met the Renardo “Nayo” Ovalle Vides and visited their six farms in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. The farms were established in 1958 by Nayo’s grandfather Jorge Vides who was a full-time doctor travelling Guatemala treating people in the rural areas. Jorge found this beautiful plot of land and planted mainly Bourbon and Caturra varietals and used his farm to treat the local population with a medical clinic. His humanitarian contributions did not stop only with offering medical treatments to the local community, in 1980 he also established a school that still runs on the family farm today to offer education to the local community. Shortly after its establishment the school was named after Jorge and officially recognized by the Minister of Education. This combination of social consciousness and dedication to quality was a beautiful beginning of La Boheme Cafe's direct trade relationship with the Vides family.
