Alma Coffee
Canton, GA, USA
Have you met our owner, Leticia? Not only is she behind the website, social media, and emails, she also grew this coffee! As a 5th generation coffee farmer and owner of her own coffee farm in Honduras, Leticia was especially nervous to experiment with honey processing because there is a much higher risk of losing your crop. Despite the name, there is actually no honey in our Honey Process coffee. The skin of the coffee cherry is removed leaving the delicious nectar around the coffee bean (commonly referred to as "honey" by farmers). Then, the coffee is dried for weeks to allow the nectar to impart unique and delicious flavors into the coffee. If you're interested, we covered this process in more detail in our weekly Alma-nac blog. Leticia is so excited to finally share this farm-to-cup coffee with her Alma Familia! With delicious notes of rosewater, red grape, and black tea, we recommend brewing in a drip brewer or chemex to experience all of its sensational flavor profiles.
