Coffee Of The World
Norway
Coffee from Huehuetenango is grown in the highest location in Guatemala, with little rainfall and late harvest season. This results in a slow development of the coffee berries which ensures good conditions for aromatic taste development. This means that coffee from Huehuetenango provides one of the best and most complex taste profiles in Central America. The bean type in this coffee is 80% Caturra and 20% Bourbon. The name Huehuetenango comes from nahuatl and means "Place of the Ancestors", and the region is known for various cultural monuments from the Mayan Empire.
