La Cabra
Frederiksberg, Denmark
The floral notes of the Pacamara shine here, backed up by juicy blood orange and milk chocolate. We visited Raul Rivera at Santa Rosa in March of 2023, and this is the sixth time we have purchased coffee from him. This coffee is recommended for both filter and espresso brewing methods. Water with a soft Total Dissolved Solids count below 150 ppm is recommended for the best coffee experience. Resting the coffee for at least 10 days after the roast date is advised. The coffee beans are roasted to order and shipped within 1-3 days from Denmark. This is our sixth year buying coffee from Jorge Raul Rivera. Raul is a second generation coffee producer based just outside the town of La Palma in El Salvador. His farm, Finca Santa Rosa, is planted mainly with Pacamara and is located at around 1550 masl. Raul has won three Cup of Excellence awards. He is passionate about coffee, whisky, and cars, and always eager to share his knowledge and expertise. The coffee from his farm is of incredibly high quality and is roasted to order. This year, Raul Rivera is offering a washed Pacamara lot with a crisp and fresh flavor profile, different from the honey and natural lots shared in previous years. The pride Raul takes in every detail of his farm and the coffee production process reflects in the exceptional quality of the coffee lots he produces. He is also planning to introduce a Geisha plot with a small harvest expected in 2024.
