Las Etiopes, located in the mountainous region of Jaén in the village of El Porvenir, was founded by UK expatriate Simon Brown and his wife, Merlith Cruz. Covering eight hectares, the farm features a varied landscape, with one hectare devoted to Ethiopian Heirloom and Geisha coffee, and another planted with traditional varieties such as Borbón, Caturra, and Catimor. Simon launched the project in 2019, inspired by the potential he saw in the local terroir after spending several harvest seasons in the area.
