Prickly Pear is PROVISION's signature blend. Building it with quality and consistency in mind, we choose coffees based on seasonality, relational sourcing, and how well their individual characteristics work together to create our desired profile. We roast each coffee individually, allowing for optimal flavor, and carefully blend thereafter. The result is a blend that is sweet, balanced, and works well on all brew methods: espresso, drip, cold brew, pour over, and more. The core notes defining Prickly Pear are that of sweet stone fruits, caramelized sugars, and rich chocolate. Crisp brightness, subtle sweetness, and substantial body allows this coffee to pair perfectly with milk and sugar, yet is complex enough to be appreciated on its own. Knowing how translatable this blend is, we named it after the Prickly Pear cactus, which has multiple applications in food, beverage, and even medicine. Just as the prickly pear cactus is iconic to Arizona, the prickly pear blend is iconic to us at PROVISION.
