San Isidro is a coffee that comes from the San Lucas Zoquiápam municipality in the La Canada region of Oaxaca, Mexico. This coffee is the representation of a community of coffee farmers who belong to indigenous Mazatec ethnic group. For the most part, the farmers are processing their individual crops at their homes: floating, pulping, fermenting, washing, and drying them. After this processing, they combine their crops together and, with the help of the Co-op Red 5 de Deciembre, take their coffee to market. Community efforts like this have helped to shine the spotlight on the very exciting Mexican coffee scene, and we are proud to get to serve it to you!
