About This Coffee
We are excited to finally be serving our very first international direct trade coffee! This coffee is from Hasbullah farm based in Aceh Gayo, Indonesia. The Aceh Gayo region is home to some of the very best coffee Indonesia has to offer. In fact, Indonesia's Cup of Excellence competitions regularly feature coffees from Aceh Gayo. This crop year 22-23 16 out of the 22 entries are from Aceh Gayo. Amazing coffees are definitely being produced in Indonesia right now highlighting the trend of emerging origins from Southeast Asia. This one is a honey processed lot from Hasbullah farm. Frankly, the quality of this coffee blew us away. It is not only a fantastic introduction to the increasing quality of the coffees from Indonesia, but a showcase of the quality that is possible for our region. In the cup, you can expect flavors of pomelo, guava, white florals, honey, and berries. This coffee is incredibly sweet, complex, and juicy. Cupped blind, you may mistake it for a very high quality, honey processed Kenyan coffee. This lot opened our minds to how great coffees from our region can be.
