Prodigal Coffee
Boulder, CO, USA
This beautiful Kenyan coffee went out first to our April Monthly Subscribers, and it's too good for us to hold back any longer. Karinga has stone fruits galore, citrus of all kinds, and a wonderful acidity tying it all together perfectly. During our cuppings we tasted all our favorite fruits: apricot, peach, grapefruit, orange, berries, you name it. Karinga Coffee Factory, established in 1983 in Kiambu County, Kenya, operates under the Gitwe Farmers Co-operative Society. Located at 1840 meters, it processes SL-28 and SL-34 varieties from approximately 500 smallholder farmers, using traditional washed methods. Managed by Samwel Muteti and a dedicated team, Karinga consistently produces high-quality coffee recognized locally and internationally. Make sure to check that the roast date you've selected is what you're looking for — If there is an UPCOMING ROAST, its date will be listed under the tasting notes at the top of this product page. When available, enjoy our selection of rested dates while they last! Please read our shipping info page!
