From 2013 to 2020, farmers on Ninga Hill would carry their coffee cherries 10 miles to the nearest washing station! In 2020 Ninga built a washing station of their own through the partnership of incredible exporters and importers. Ninga now acts as an anchor of hope in their area, providing the resource of a washing station to both Giku Hill and Bumba Hill. Ninga has grown to 764 farmers with the average farmer having less than 200 trees in their gardens. This cup demonstrates the acidity Burundi coffees can offer as well as the thick berry-like sweetness. We are so excited to partner with this growing region and support a project that so directly affects the local communities.
