If you know what’s what in the specialty coffee world, you’ll understand why I had such a hard time refraining from adding five or six exclamation marks to the title of this coffee. A truly rare treat, the Bali Kintamani is one of only a few natural process coffees we’ve ever seen from Indonesia. It is known for balancing the rich, heavy body of Indonesian coffee with the bright complexity of the natural process. This time around we noticed aromatics of chocolate, citrus, cane sugar, and florals. The cup is smooth and nicely balanced with notes of cocoa powder, tangerine, hibiscus, blueberry, and tropical fruit. It may not be for everyone, but it is for me. And you, if you like! There’s enough to share ;)
