Standout Coffee
Stockholm, Sweden
Jaramillo Coffee Estate, is a family-owned business farming coffee fields for more than four generations. Their sustainable farming practices allow them to cultivate their passion for agriculture while caring for our environment and fostering the biodiversity of the land. They are rooted in the agricultural village of Boquete, located in the highlands of the Chiriquà province or “Valley of The Moon” in the Isthmus of Panamá. Finca Jaramillo is in the region of Jaramillo Arriba, just 5 minutes away from downtown Boquete. At the estate they cultivate 100% Arabica Beans, Typica and Caturra varietals at +1350m and Gesha varietal at +1500m. At the farm they maintain the diversity of the native shade trees, which are a crucial environmental asset needed for the development of specialty coffee, and act as a natural bridge facilitating movement of resident and migratory birds in our region. They offer employment to +50 coffee pickers from the indigenous Ngäbe Buglé community, impacting hundreds of families that year after year come to Finca Jaramillo seeking the economic support required for the development of their families and communities.
