Harvested from October to December, but also from April to June, these two harvests allow us to almost always keep Andino in house. Quality is a constant from the Café Andino Especial Co-op, and it shows in the cup: we always get sweet black cherry and tropical fruit notes out this coffee, but there are also softer notes of pear and rose that combine to create a beautifully complex cup. Macizo Colombiano is the area where the three ranges of the Colombian Andes come together to form one massive range. This convergence and the influence of rivers, the Amazon, and the Pacific creates a unique micro-climate essential for creating the many distinct flavor profiles of the region. Vibrant and crisp acidity, subtle complexity, and pronounced sweetness can all be found in the cup here. Our partners at Caravela work closely with the small coffee producers in the region under the name Andino, guaranteeing sustainable farming practices and consistent cup quality.
