Kenya is often regarded as producing some of the most exciting, dynamic, and complex coffee available. This coffee from the Gatomboya Factory is a quintessential representation of that belief. This microlot is comprised of coffee from about 950 different smallholders of the Barichu Farmer Cooperative Society, each with plots of land around 1/8-1/4 hectare of land. These small harvests are some of the most traceable lots in the country and provide high-quality flavors. This washed coffee yields a juicy, smooth cup with mild tartness and sweetness that is highly desired of Kenyan varietals.
