Gedeb Gotiti Natural Organic is named for the kebele, or village, where the coffee is harvested. Smallholder producers from the Gotiti kebele bring their cherries to METAD’s collection site in Gotiti, which are then processed at METAD’s Gedeb washing stations in Halo Beriti and Udeye kebeles. It’s the first time we are working with this coffee and on the cupping table, we were struck by it’s bright and juicy character. Sweet and full-bodied, we experience notes of forest berries and honey, with a delightful floral finish. If fruit-forward, bright, juicy coffees are your thing, make sure to give Gotiti a try! This coffee from the Gotiti kebele is grown between 1950–2000 meters above sea level. It is a Natural process coffee, dried on raised beds. An Organic coffee, METAD has certified not only its own farms and processing plants but also the farms of those participating in the out-grower’s program.
