When creating seasonal blends like Winter Solstice, we aim to capture and celebrate the joy of that particular season. We want the blend to highlight the strength of the components, as well as present a totally new tasting experience. For this winter seasonal, we’ve created a 50/50 blend using coffee from Kenya and Guatemala. The juicy and complex SL-28 varietal from Kenya brings a richness of ripe fruits, leaving us with a promise of warmth to come. The bourbon and caturra varietals from Guatemala show us soft, sunshiney bright acidity and light mouthfeel. Once combined, we tasted juicy blood orange, sweet honey, and ripe blackberries in this bright and revitalizing blend. We made this coffee to be shared, so brew a pot, gather around the table, and enjoy with friends and family.
