Crema Coffee Roasters
Nashville, TN, USA
A small community of growers in the village of San Agustin Loxicha in Oaxaca, Mexico are known for their malic (a fancy latin way of saying apple) notes. Second generation coffee farmer, Casimiro Garcia Lopez and his wife Reyna have a small farm in this area. Their older children have also contributed greatly to their operation by taking courses in agronomy and helping make changes in processing. They’ve increased quality and sustainability in cherry pulping and fermentation and are sharing their knowledge with neighboring producers to improve their quality as well. Neighbors helping neighbors be better is a win/win in our book! The family’s talents don't end with coffee; they also work as blacksmiths in the coffee off-season. Talk about an all-star team! We’ve been super impressed with the quality of this new-to-us Mexican coffee, it’s got a beautiful acidity while boasting a delicate floral quality and creamy sweetness. We’re honored to be the final step in the process to share it with you.
