This beautiful Ethiopian honey-process coffee comes from the famed Buncho washing station, founded by Cup of Excellence winner Asefa Dukamo. We love this coffee's bright acidity and ripe pineapple and grape flavors. Smallholder farmers surrounding Buncho mill deliver their fresh coffee cherries, where they are processed and paid by weight. The coffees are processed in the traditional Ethiopian methods and dried on raised beds. Blending at the mill level means tracing a lot back to a particular farm or farmer is virtually impossible. This means our green purchasing partners and their buyers select lots based on quality alone without knowing much about the provenance.
