For the third time, we’re glad to offer a unique coffee coming from Moplaco. This year’s offering was produced on their own farm in the Sheka region : Kewo Kemina. It is a place dedicated for coffee and spice growing where the trees are planted but left to nature for their growth, in the forest. It is also very interesting to us since Sheka is part of the old province of Kaffa, the birthplace of Arabica and the source for the word “coffee”. This coffee is unique by its honey process, borrowed from producers in Central and South America. We find honey processed coffees only very, very rarely in Ethiopia where washed and naturals are more dominant. You should seize this unique and rare opportunity. We taste lots of dried fruits and a winey, sweet acidity.
