Following a successful return in 2023, we are thrilled to present the 2025 crop — an exceptional lot many of our customers have eagerly anticipated. Known for its juicy sweetness and bright citrus notes, Bishan Dimo W offers a refreshing and vibrant profile, perfect for summer enjoyment. In a market increasingly dominated by complex fermentation processes, this traditionally washed coffee shines by delivering clarity, balance, and exceptional craftsmanship. Bishan Dimo Washing Station. Nestled deep within Ethiopia’s Guji zone, the Bishan Dimo washing station stands as a symbol of transformation in one of the country’s most remote and forested regions. While the Odo Shakiso district remains largely unchanged where farmers tend their fields as their ancestors did, and roads become impassable during heavy rains, the world of coffee here is evolving rapidly. Before 2016, farmers had to travel long distances to sell their cherries at distant washing stations. That changed when Testi Coffee established the Mulish washing station, followed closely by Bishan Dimo just five kilometers away, to serve the growing demand of smallholder farmers. Today, roughly a thousand farmers bring their coffee to these stations, benefiting from improved access and a focus on specialty-grade quality. Bishan Dimo sits on three hectares of land in the Dendi Uddo kebele and offers both washed and natural coffees, with an emphasis on washed grade-one lots. The coffee trees grow at altitudes between 1,850 and 2,050 meters above sea level, consisting of indigenous Guji varietals alongside disease-resistant cultivars developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center. The washing station actively trains farmers to harvest cherries at peak ripeness, ensuring the highest flavor and quality. When transport poses a challenge, Bishan Dimo arranges timely delivery so cherries reach the station within 24 hours, crucial for preserving quality. Farmers are also rewarded with premiums for bringing superior coffee, encouraging continuous improvement. Beyond coffee, the station has fostered community development—bringing education opportunities and working toward better healthcare with local partners. The result is a thriving, motivated community dedicated to cultivating coffee that reflects the unique terroir of Guji. Bishan Dimo’s washed coffees offer a vibrant and juicy profile, perfectly embodying the remarkable story of growth and tradition in Ethiopia’s highlands. Ethiopia. Denbi Uddo Kebele.
