There’s a lot to love about these AA-grade SL28 and Ruiru beans harvested in Kirinyaga County. Farmers from the surrounding villages of Gituga, Kiangoro, Muburi, and Kagukuma pour their beans into Muburi Coffee Factory, where the cherries are sorted, washed, fermented, and laid out on drying beds by the cooperative. While flavour has been developing since pre-harvest when the coffee was growing in volcanic soils underneath macadamia trees, it’s not until post-harvest processing that the tasting notes truly flourish. We roast the beans lightly so you can enjoy their juicy acidity, plus hints of strawberry, cherry, and panela sugar.
