Just in time for colder weather, this Honduras Microlot will keep you cozy into the late fall and winter months. Enemecio Vásquez is a coffee producer born and raised in the community of Conrroro, in Lempira. After apprenticing on other coffee farms in San Marcos, Enemecio was able to acquire 28 hectares and his former boss supplied some Ihcafé90 seeds for him to germinate. He has been slowly growing his farm (and his family!) over time, expanding his coffee plantings while building a permanent home on his land for he and his wife Rubencia and buying a truck to transport cherry to be processed. He aims to keep growing more and more coffee, all with the same sustainable and eco-friendly practices he has been using since starting to work with BonCafe in 2019, which have helped him to improve the condition of his farm while preserving the ecosystem in his area, and to provide jobs to other members of his community.
