About This Coffee
El Ciprés is a story of effort, resilience, and renewal. Each harvest represents progress, and every step toward improvement reflects the strength and vision of its producers. Located in Planadas, in the southern part of Tolima and nestled deep in the foothills of the Central Andes, the farm is rich in history, community, and purpose. The farm is managed by Cristian Guilombo and spans 20 hectares, with 6 hectares dedicated to coffee production and the rest preserved as a native forest reserve. The farm grows traditional and resilient varieties such as Caturra, Castillo, and Colombia under fertile volcanic soils and a favorable climate. Collaborating with InConexus, the farm focuses on refining post-harvest processes to achieve greater consistency and quality in every lot, with a commitment to sustainable cultivation. Some standout areas include the plot called El Morro, known for its expressive aroma and distinctive flavor profile.
