This coffee from the Guji region is delivered to the Gigesa washing station by around 700 small producers. The majority of these family farm cultivate an average of 2-5 hectares in size located 1900-2100m above sea level. The people do an excellent job especially in processing coffee. The coffees are carefully washed, dried and sorted out. In the highlands the coffee has more time to grow and therefore more time to unfold different characters. Generally speaking the coffee to be found here is amazingly fruity and has floral flavors. This particular micro-lot from the Gigesa washing station got uniquely processed through an anaerobic fermentation process, which results in very pronounced flavors of coconut, lemon and pineapple. A must-try!
