About This Coffee

This is our first purchase through Mighty Peace Coffee or their Mapendo project, which translates in Swahili to "love." The community lot features coffees from 4,200 smallholders contributing to two washing stations, Buchiro and Chebumba. SL-34 coffee grown using organic methods between 14800-2000 meters in South Kivu by 4,200 smallholders; selectively hand-picked; collected at two washing stations; floated; pulped using a drum pulper; fermented dry for 12 hours then submerged for 24 hours; washed; dried on raised beds for 12-21 days.
