A Matter Of Concrete
Rotterdam, Netherlands
Dawit stood on the lush, green forest of Bette Buna, the farm passed down to him by his beloved grandfather, Syoum. This specific 2-hectare plot of land in the picturesque region of Sidamo, specifically in the village of Taferi Kela, had been their family’s pride for generations. Syoum was a respected figure in the community, despite his small farm size of 2 hectares. His love for the land and its people was evident in every action he took. He believed in the importance of nurturing nature and fostering a sense of togetherness among the farmers of Taferi Kela. With his wisdom and knowledge, Syoum envisioned a big future for the village. He dreamed of transforming it into a prosperous coffee-producing hub, where both the environment and the community flourished. Although others might have doubted the potential of such a small community, Syoum saw the hidden gems within Taferi Kela.
