In 2018, we came into contact with the small Volcano collective that grows coffee around the volcano in the community of Pocos de Caldas, which has unique conditions for coffee growing in Brazil, to say the least. The mineral-rich soil, with reservation of rainforest around the coffee plantations, provides a unique biotope that results in a quality and long-term sustainable coffee. The collective includes 11 producers, of which we currently buy coffee from 5 of them. Our ambition is that we will cooperate with all 11 producers in line with growth. This year we buy coffee from producers Joao Senna, Luiz Paulo, Natal Alves, Maurizio Barbosa and Marcos Cezar. This means more process methods and varieties, but all are gathered under the name "Velo", which is our best-selling coffee today. Powerful, sweet and creamy like espresso or a darker filter coffee with low acid.
