About This Coffee

AMAZ Women Organic Coffee is produced by a group of 30 women farmers from Amazonas and Cajamarca—many of whom come from long coffee-growing families. Most began working in coffee as teenagers, later taking ownership of their own parcels and organizing to improve quality, gain access to better markets, and highlight the role of women in their communities. They united around shared goals: better prices, technical training, sustainable practices, and stronger visibility for women in coffee. Working with AMAZ Coffee and cooperatives like Valle Chingama, they've improved cup quality and secured stable market access while maintaining rigorous organic and ethical certifications including USDA/EU/Canada Organic, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, and JAS. Grown at 1,500–1,700 MASL and washed processed, these coffees from varieties like Typica, Catuaí, and Caturra are clean, bright, and expressive—reflecting the diverse microclimates of northern Peru. AMAZ supports NUevo AManecer (NUAM), an educational support center for children in rural coffee-growing areas. By investing in education today, we’re building a stronger, more resilient coffee community for tomorrow. A coffee rooted in resilience, community, and the leadership of women.
