120 PSI is our approachable espresso blend, used daily in all of our stores. It is named for the parallel between the standard tire pressure for cycling competitions, and the 9 Bars used to extract espresso (120 PSI=9 Bar). It is slowly rotating blend currently featuring a Washed Mexico (Dana Montana, Chiapas) and Natural Ethiopia (Adado, Yirgacheffe). Espresso is a brew method signified by the use of pressure to extract the coffee into a concentrated beverage. We source and roast the coffees for this blend based on a flavor profile that we prefer for daily use on an espresso machine, whether it is in our cafe, or in your home. Even though we roast this with espresso in mind, The blend is also versatile enough to use for cold brew (available every day in-store), pour-over, or any other brew method that you prefer. Sweet chocolate notes, balanced, with a full body to hold up in milk based beverages, and plenty of character to be enjoyable by itself.
