Explore the Sierra Mazateca mountains, a sub-range of the Sierra Madre de Oaxaca in Southern Mexico. Named after the Mazateca indigenous people, this remote region, though challenging to navigate, yields some of Mexico's finest coffee due to its high elevation. Nestled at 2000 meters above sea level, Daniel's farm cultivates the Typica and Bourbon varieties. Unlike many places worldwide where disease-resistant varieties have replaced Typica and Bourbon, these traditional trees thrive in the Sierra Mazateca's high-altitude microclimate, naturally preventing the spread of coffee diseases. Post-harvest, our coffee undergoes a meticulous 72-hour wash and fermentation process before basking in the sun to dry. Despite the low yields on Daniel's farm, Sisters Coffee is proud to offer his entire harvest for the third time. Indulge in the juicy and sweet profile of this coffee, characterized by mild acidity and notes of nectarine, vanilla, and melon. Embark on a coffee experience that encapsulates the rugged beauty and rare flavors of the Sierra Mazateca.
