Costa Rica Las Lajas SL-28 Honey Process. This year you're going to want a Lump of Coal in your stocking, trust us. We've been saving this coffee for something special and we are super excited to finally share it with you all. Grown by Oscar and Francisca ChacĂłn, owners of the Sabana Redonda farm and Las Lajas micromill in the Sabanilla de Alajuela region of Costa Rica. The ChacĂłn's are considered innovators in the area of natural and honey-processed coffees, having been some of the first farmers to use these methods within Costa Rica. This honey process SL-28 is a beautiful example of their work. Grape bubble gum, orange, and sugary notes in a smooth cup with a nice tangy but mellow acidity that leaves the palate feeling clean.
