About This Coffee

Producers in the Bombe kebele grow coffee in the lush, high-altitude valley of Bombe Mountain in Sidama, using traditional methods and hand-picking ripe cherries. The Natural lot undergoes careful processing at the washing station, including rinsing, density sorting, hand sorting, and sun drying before being dry-hulled and exported. Bombe coffees are known for their density and rich flavor, often showing smaller bean sizes like screen 14 and 15. These lots differ from nearby Shantawene and Keramo coffees, partly due to a higher presence of the Mikicho variety. Mikicho, with its large cherries and canoe-shaped seeds, is closely related to the prized Gesha variety
