Sumatra coffees are famous for their unique flavor profile, low acidity, thick body, and earthy rustic flavors. You may notice notes of cedar and baker's chocolate. This coffee is certified Organic and Fair Trade. It is grown in the mountains west of Lake Tawar, Aceh Sumatra. It is grown at a slightly lower altitude than other coffees at around 1,200 meters above sea level. They use a traditional Sumatra wet hull process and sun dry the beans on patios. Sumatra is always popular and tastes wonderful.
