Java Coffee Roasters
Warsaw, Poland
The name of the Utengule farm comes from the town where it is located. Utengule is a traditional village situated at the foot of the town of Mbeya at an altitude of 1,400 meters above sea level. Due to the exceptionally favorable climate, African missionaries started growing coffee there at the beginning of the last century. Extremely warm summers and not too harsh winters, combined with volcanic soil rich in minerals, and seasonally appearing rains, make Tanzania proud of one of the best fruit producing coffee trees in Africa. Due to the large amount of sunshine, coffee trees on the Utengule farm grow in the shade of the Grevillea and Albizja shrubs, which gives the plantations an amazing atmosphere. The coffees grown in Utengule are characterized by high body, moderate but strongly perceptible acidity and a complex aroma. In a cup of infusion prepared from roasted beans, you can feel the intense flavor of peach ripening in full sun and the pleasant sweetness of dried cranberries. The fruity character of the coffee is balanced by the pleasant peanut aftertaste. Both the espresso and the transfer are a real treat for the taste buds. We are entering June in a beautiful style.
