La Candelaria offers a dynamic and balanced ratio of sugar to acid. The crisp and sweet notes of cameo apples is paired with a balanced, smooth, and ever so subtle sweetness of toffee and nutmeg. This coffee is best for those that are looking for a cup that is out of the ordinary for an everyday cup. Finca Candelaria is found in the municipality of Alotenango, on the slopes of Volcan Alotenango near Antigua. In previous years, coffee from Alotenango had been sold as coffee from Antigua due to the success of the region in producing a stand out cup year after year. Recently, Alotenango has been recognized as a distinct and valuable micro-region. It benefits from the volcanic topography of the area and its relation to the Caribbean sea. Coffee from this region is unique and expressive and has been featured on our menu for the past eight years.
