About This Coffee

Our third lot from Kenya this year is our second release from the Rungeto Cooperative, as their coffees stood out on the cupping table this year. The Rungeto Coop has grown to include approximately 3507 dedicated members, each member is allocated around a hectare of land for cultivating coffee alongside vegetable crops to support their families. The combination of fertile and nutrient-rich red volcanic soil, high altitudes, and ample rainfall contribute to the unique terroir of the Karimikui factory's coffee, ultimately shaping its distinct flavors and characteristics. The meticulous work of the producers results in an excellent cup with flavours of blackcurrant and florals and a juicy sugarcane-like sweetness.
