Our first washed coffee from Java. Something like "nothing at all", but very pleasant, velvety and sweet with delicate hints of citrus, guava and earl grey. These are beans for people who do not like high acidity, they like smoothness and high sweetness in coffee. The beans come from the Gravfarm farm located near the city of Bandung, in the western part of the island, in a region full of volcanoes and tea fields. Gravfarm is one of the most successful farms in Indonesia, with 19th place in the national Cup of Excellence in 2021. It is run by a married couple: Lucy Tedjasukmana and Yugian Leonardy. Lucy and Yugian are part of the Forest Farmer Group, which supports coffee farmers in farming, waste management, forestry, planting and processing. Gravfarm prides itself on its high proportion of female employees (70%) and excellent practices related to not using pesticides and herbicides in the fields.
